Started as a hardcore backend software engineer specialized in databases, I went through the journey to a full stack engineer and then to an engineering leader. A few incidents along my career development journey changed my view and re-shaped my mindset and career path.
In this blog, I will share my thoughts in career, life long learning, and leadership. In my spare time, I love reading, tennis, and product management, so I may ramble about these fun things a bit from time to time too. I welcome discussions, feedback, and critiques from you. Hope to connect with you on the following platforms.
I’m currently working at Meta as a Software Engineering Manger focusing on Data Infra for AI/ML. During spare time, I teach Software Product Management at the University of Washington, coach startups at the Seattle University JPA accelerator, and mentor MBA students. In the past I have worked at Microsoft and Amazon on various roles such as Software Engineer, Program Manager, and Engineering Manager. Following my curiosity, my technical career journey went from low level system software all the way to end user UX. After working in Cloud Computing at full stack capacity, I moved into AI (Artificial Intelligence) area focusing on building AI Infrastructure that enables AI/ML at scale. Over the course of my career, my focus expanded from pure technical work to product management, leadership, teaching, and coaching. My biggest passion is to connect dots, help others grow, build high performing teams, and build high impact products.
